So, what does this mean?

In one pass the SMART-TILL 2200 creates fracture forces, both horizontally and vertically, which loosens compacted soil to 8” depth. This means:

This tool is the latest in conservation tillage technology. The SMART-TILL 2200 is a primary tillage tool, under a conservation tillage system. The SMART-TILL 2200 is specifically designed to address soil compaction, moisture management, incorporating manure and other fertilizers, and rejuvenate grasslands under conservation tillage practices. This unique tool spans 22', and features a front fold design to allow the operator to go from working to the transport position of 8'6” in seconds from the seat of the tractor.

The SMART-TILL 2200's unique self sharpening ductile tines fracture up to 8” of soil with minimal surface disturbance. These tines penetrate the density layers and allow moisture, air and nutrients to seep into the soil, providing roots an optimum environment for full development, thus maximizing plant growth and increasing overall yields and field capacity. The SMART-TILL 2200 can manage even the toughest residue and field conditions, as demonstrated in the pictures in the next section.

The SMART-TILL 2200 is equipped with Phillips Rotary Harrow modules, to provide a one-pass system after harvest. The SMART-TILL 2200 folds vertically to offer the narrowest transport width in the entire industry, without sacrificing overall field coverage.
